Merry Christmas... a little or lot late

This is so so late, and I do have like 25 posts to read in my reader, but I have Dial Up (boo) at home so I haven't been able to blog till now.

So here are a couple Christmas pics of our joyous day(s).

We had alot of fun, and Jaimen got spoiled, this is his last Christmas all by himself you know, we had to spoil him, and so did Santa.

I got this cool beenie, that itches like heck, and I got alot of other cool stuff, I just thought you'd enjoy this picture of the cool hat.

This is Gammy Teena, and her cute fluffy dog, itsy.

This is my mamma, Grandma Patti with her cute blanket she made just for Jaimen.

And this is Jaimen's favorite person in the entire world, Papa (my dad).
Check out his tounge, hehe, he was a little excited for Jaimen.

And thats all folks.
(Sorry to Grandma Katie, we didn't get any pictures :(

Hope you all had wonderful Christmas' with your families!

Santa is Evil, or at least Jaimen thinks so

This is Jaimen's 2nd attempt at sitting on Santa's lap this year.

(what a crappy picture- sorry all)

The first was at the mall. We asked him for two days what he wanted Santa to bring him...
"tain an diso an cyco" (translation: train, dinosaur, and motorcycle)

"Okay Jaimen, then you need to SIT on Santa's lap and he will give you a Candy Cane, and a Book, and he will bring you a train"

"Do you want a Candy Cane and a Book?"

"Yeah teat diso tain"

We did this in an attempt to make it 'not scary' for him when he did see Santa.

Attempt #1: We got to the mall, and surprisingly had to wait a total of 2 minutes and no one was behind us, no one. So he was fine until we got to Santa's knees and he turned and gripped my legs so hard I thought I would fall. We tried and tried to coax him, Santa gave him a book, let him touch his furry coat, but Jaimen wasn't having it.

Now why would that stop me from getting a picture of my sweet sweet loving son with Santa?

Attempt #2: We got this picture at Christmas Village. We stood in line for 10 minutes, outside, then stood in front of Santa for another 10 because the printer/camera was having troubles printing the customers pics in front of me and Jaimen (Alan chose to wait outside, do I blame him? No, you would have waited out there too, if you'd been there)

Finally I got Santa's helper to just take a pic of me and Jaimen with Santa so we could get the HE** out of there and relieve some other customers from hearing Jaimen scream. I tried everything I could to get him to just sit on his lap, I tried bribing him with everything a 2 year old could ever want, most of all I tried to bribe him with a nights stay at his favorite place on this god given earth, Nana and Papa's house. Needless to say he did not get a stay at Nana and Papa's, instead he got time-out in the cold while people were stairing because when we left Santa's domain.

Jaimen cried and screamed "Santa plap! Santa plap! tain! diso! Santa plap!" Then he threw his candy cane at my face.

Oh, re-living that was lovely.

Giving

This is what we chose to do for Christmas this year...

"Don't tell me to smile, Dad!"

These gifts are for someone who needs them more than us, we have never done this, and we LOVED it! We have bought toys for "Toys for Tots" before, but never bought a family Christmas. We had so much fun picking out things they needed and things that might just be for fun, and nice to have. I hope I am fortunate enough to do this every year and teach Jaimen a valubale lesson.

And here is a collage of my family making blankets for Primary Children's Hospital.

A couple years ago everyone decided to do-away with exchanging names and gifts. So each year we choose what we would like to do for others. Everyone had alot of fun, and we got yummy pizza afterwards.

Buying and wrapping all those presents got me in the 'mood'
- For Christmas - sickOs!

Hope all of you are in the Christmas Spirit!

Oh and when I am done at the spa I get to go see him...again

Edward, until tomorrow, my love, I am counting the minutes until I see you again.

1/2 way there!!!

I am half way there...

This is May 22nd 2006, I was little, well you know what I mean, in the belly area. I am pretty sure I was pushing it out because I was anxious to start showing it off.

I was feeling great back then, day after my 1 year anniversary, cute and prego, happy as can be.
Exciting feeling being pregnant for the first time, I loved being pregnant, I loved getting "fat".
Go ahead quote me on that. I'm probably the only person you'll meet that would take a picture of the scale as it climbs, for wonderful memories.
(Thats Jaimen's cute room, unfinished, but cute color huh?)

This is today...not a very good picture, florescent lighting does nothing for me.
Shorter, darker hair, cuter than before.
I feel tired, very very tired, and I have heartburn like a mother, oh and I get migraines like almost every day, my back already hurts. Don't feel so cutsey this time, feel like wearing a moomoo instead of spending money on clothes that don't or won't fit.
Strange how completely different it is the second time around, for me at least.

I've been Tagged...

This tag is cute.

So I had to respond.

Here are the rules:
1. Go to your pictures
2. Upload the 4th picture from the 4th folder, don't cheat!
3. Post (explain?)
4. Tag your friends

I took this picture on my Birthday, while celebrating with my mom at her house.

I was playing around with the black and white on my camera trying to get a sweet picture of him looking through the old window, but like any toddler he started banging.

So now I tag: Tiffannie Brian, Katy, Tiffany Boyer.

Big Boy Bed

Alan set up Jaimen's Toddler, Big Boy Bed, Sunday morning.

He loves it! At first he was a little confused then he looked at Alan with a big smile on his face and big wide eyes, like 'is that for reals??'
I tell ya for Christmas, he is getting his room re-arranged, nothing would make him happier, and he won't know the difference.

Anyways he took his first nap in it, for 3plus hours!! When he woke up he called "Mama!! All Done, Mama!!" He wouldn't get himself out, maybe he thought he'd get in trouble. He did the same thing this morning, waited for me to come in. I would have gotten a picture of the cute angel sleeping, if I was not trying to finish my book... and didn't want him to wake up by mistake.

I finally am done!!!

I know, I know I am a little behind everyone else. The important thing is I am Done, and I LOVED IT!!!

It was my favorite one. I was sceptical because all I would allow my ears to hear from others mouths was they "didn't like the 4th book." I never once read the back of any of these books, to let my mind be completely open and surprised.

Oh, I loved it, I loved it, I loved it!
Did I mention I freaking loved it!
I just want to cry thinking about it, I get a little to invested some might say.

I was in a super big hurry to get this one done because I am going to see the first movie this Saturday and I knew that one of you BIG mouths would mention something, and my wandering ears would hear you and figure it all out, then I would be very disappointed. You know who you are, the ones that talk freely about movies or books before anyone else has seen them, then it ruins it for the rest of us. Am I alone here?
However I was disappointed, like many others I am sure, that it was very much G rated for the younger audience. Stephanie: You should have made another version like R for us older, more mature, desperate for action, housewives. (Did I state that correctly girls?) I really had to make my imagination run while reading some parts.
Maybe I will read them again when I am home with my newborn baby girl, instead of watching crappy TV.

Yes a her for sure, we got the goods, or she's missing the goods! For sure, no more 80% chance. (Unless of course we take after our friends and our little girl grows a penis in um 1 day, but that won't happen.) I am vowing to not buy anything, until I have purchase the furniture, which will not be until the basement is finished and her room is painted. But I am not promising anything. Just hopeful thinking that I could save some cash for the house, instead of spend it on useless stuff I find while I am compulsive shopping anyways.

The Girls

This weekend me and my girlfriends from HIGH SCHOOL got together for the first time in almost 9 years!! I can't believe its almost been 10 freaking years!

We had a blast!
Laura made a delicious dinner, that I am sure she had tons of leftovers, I know, what a sin. She ordered 3 Dozen breadsticks from Olive Garden, 3 Dozen!! We were to busy talking and rolling on the floor to eat them all.
I forgot how much I love each and every single one of them, and how much fun we used to have, and still can. I was there till midnight and I am sure if I didn't make myself leave I would have been there till the sun came up.
A few people had a hard time remembering which house was hers because we or they were kinda under the influence each and every time they came before.
We weren't that bad, really... really, okay maybe.
from left to right(Sarah, Katie, Laura, Me, Kenzie)
from left to right (Kenzie, Christy, Laura, Me, Amber, Katie, Katy)
Thanks Laura for planning and the food! Next time we'll do it at my place.
Love you all!

Woo Hoo!!

I am happy, yes unlike alot of my friends and family I am happy!!!!
I am also scared, a little, but overall I am happy!!!

People have STRONG opinions. I have heard alot from the people around me, while I just listened and took in what they had to say, I made my decision, and I will back it up.There are views and beliefs I agree with and there are some that I don't, but who's really going to agree with every single issue? I am proud to say that I could make a choice that I believe will be better for me and my family.

I am proud to be an American, and I am proud that Jaimen gets to live in a time of "History in the Making!" (I actually cried)

So weather you wanted this outcome or not, just know that you can stand behind what you believe it no matter what it may be. And you can still be friends or family with someone who may have different beliefs.

I may have opened a can of worms by posting this, but its my blog and I'll do what I want.
Please don't stop being my friend or reading my blog because of who I support. I love everyone the same no matter what they choose different from me.

Halloween

This year was so much fun! Jaimen actually understood that when you Yell
Trick-or-Treat, people give you CANDY!!

He had so much fun, it was his first year actually Trick-or Treating, so we enjoyed every second of it, until we finally made him go to sleep at 11:30, then we enjoyed sitting on our butts.

Jaimen was Cat in The Hat.

We were Thing 1 & Thing 2, although we were not true to our costumes, we did not wreak havoc.

Mind you- I made these costumes myself! If you know me, you know that I am incapable of making anything that looks halfway descent, but I did pretty darn good!!

We went to a Halloween Party the weekend before Halloween, and it was a blast!
(click on the collages to make them bigger, trust me the Nacho Libre is worth it)

Julie had fun games for the kids, we did a monster mash dance, where when the music stopped we had to freeze or we were out. She had really yummy chilli, a chocolate fountain, and caramel dip. Oh it was AWESOME!! We ate in her garage that was decorated to the brim, with cute stuff!!

Then there's our night after Halloween Party with the crazies we love.

Happy Halloween!!!

So......

She gave us a 80% chance that

its

a

GIRL!!

So I went shopping...

I bought this cute little hat with a big fat flower on it

And this cute little onsie (its organic!)

Oh and I bought like 5 other premie onsies, 2 premie nightgowns, and 1 set of cherry jammies. (They were all 50% off at the new Carter's Store) And NO the baby will not be premie, its just that Jaimen was 5.15lbs and premie stuff was still a little big.

Oh I love it!!!

So I am still prepared that she might tell me on November 13th that my little girl grew a boy part. But still hopeful that I get to keep all the crap I have already purchased in these trying times of finincial stability. Oh well, she has to be spoiled, right?? We'll just rent a one bedroom apartment if we have to, as long as she has flowers on her head.
She/he, I will call her a she was being very difficult at letting us see her parts, or his, a little shy? Well she kept putting her foot in front, so we couldn't see, we tried so hard, and forever, but all we got was the 80% chance, and advise to keep the receipts.

So EXCITED!!!

I find out today at like 2:15-ish what we are having.

I am so excited!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait. Well I can, because I have to, but I am not looking at the clock. Hopefully that will make time go faster.

Stay tuned...

Pumpkin Pickin Time

Cheese!!!
It kills me how much like a 'boy' he looks. He's not my little boy, he looks like a real live boy!
Stop growing child!! For goodness sakes STOP GROWING!!

He hated carving HATED it. He would not put his hand in the pumpkin, we made it look so fun, and messy and great, he wanted nothing to do with it. Oh well, next year. I kinda don't blame him, I've never been to crazy about that gunk all over my hands and arms either.

I would like to thank....

First of all I didn't expect to be standing here (or sitting) getting this much deserved, and tremendous award from my good lady friend, TIFFANNIE.

Thanks Tiff, I never expected to be receiving such an award. I would also like to thank my momma and dad for raising such an award worthy daughter. And my husband for sticking with me through and all my drama, or no drama, for just sticking with me, and also my son who completely amazes me each day to how he could be so friggin cute. I just don't get it.

Anyways on with it, would ya?

Okay so I need to, or want to, give this award to 7 people. I don't know that I know 7 people, do my dogs count? Well some (or most) of these awards will probably be to people who don't blog, sorry you'll miss out on clicking on their links and seeing their great blogs, because these people are not with the times, and have no idea what they are missing.

First award will be returned to Tiffannie. The reason being that I don't deserve this award and I just cannot accept it. No not really, I do deserve it, but she deserves 10 more to my 1. Tiff is an unbelievable mother, and unbelievable is an understatement. Click over to her blog for a minute and read a little about the life she lives day to day. I know that when us ladies get pregnant and have babies there is something inside us that freaks out a little, or lot that something might happen during pregnancy. And then there's something that freaks us out that something may go wrong when you have the baby. I just read a previous entry in my 'Jaimen Pregnancy Diary' that is this exactly. The morning we were going to have our c-section I woke up at 3:00am, couldn't wait any longer. I couldn't help but thinking, "what if something is wrong, what if I don't hear him cry?" Well nothing was wrong and he did cry, the best sound in the world. Tiffannie's story is a little different. She had a completely perfect pregnancy, everything was completely 100% normal, and perfect. Perfect baby boy growing PERFECTLY. Get how perfect it was?? Well not everything went perfect when she went in to have Heston. I'm not getting into it, but it was nothing she did, stuff went wrong and now she was dealt a different card. Heston is actually PERFECT, in my eyes at least. He is the cutest, chubbiest faced little boy. He is so happy, and that is all due to his mom and dad, who do such an amazing job making him happy. Tiff takes him to Dr. appt's almost 1-2 times a week, physical therapy, not to mention the trips to Primary Children's. I am so thankful to have Tiffannie in my life. Love you Tipps!!

Okay the rest will not be as long. I promise, just bear with me...

Next award goes to Holly, my aunt. She married my uncle John, (my momma's brother.) Oh I was so glad when she was 'THE ONE' I loved her from the second I met her. It was 8 years ago they got married, I remember one of our first conversations. We were at a farewell for a cousin, I'm not naming names, and there were all these cute popular girls there, with their cute shoes, and cute Sunday dress' on, and perfect hair. Well we laughed while we talked about how we were secretly jealous of these girls, and that we were cuter than them anyways. It was fun. I love Holly, she is the one who got me blogging, so my award should actually be given to her, because she started it all. When she was helping me, I was going through some hard times with Jaimen, and other people in my life and she just listened like a therapist all day long. It was awesome!

The third will go to Jen. I don't know her personally, but her blog is so dang funny!! I love her 'Flashback Friday' post, and don't even get me started on 'Then He Kissed Me Part 147'. I swear that's where your going with that aren't you? The first time I clicked on her blog was from Holly's, she had written a funny comment so I clicked to see what she was about and this is the last post she had done at that time. CLICK HERE and now you see why I was hooked. I laughed for hours, no kidding, I pulled up her page at home on my slow as heck dial up connection and showed my mom, I swear it took at least 1/2 hr to pull the page up completely with pictures and we laughed for another 1/2 hour. You deserve it Jen, for always making me laugh!

Holy crap we're only on FOUR??
Okay this one goes to someone who doesn't blog, because she is WAY behind the times, I'm just kidding, if it weren't for Internet at work, and being able to blog and get my work done, I would be behind the times too.

This ones for my momma. My mom is my BFF. Truly she is. I remember when she wasn't, that wasn't so fun. I remember her begging me to listen to her logical reason as to why I couldn't stay out all night, every night with a guy I had just met, and I just said, 'I'll do what I want!!' Well I know I have it coming to me now, my children will be 10 times worse to me when they are teenagers because I don't think I could have tried to be more evil. On the good hand I got good grades, graduated, and am a very PERFECT person. She did something right. We just did not get along, At All, when I was growing up, to much alike. Now I accept it and embrace it. My mom is AMAZING!! I love her, she is funny, loving, trustworthy, genuine, and deserving.
Love you momma, Not that you'll ever know you received this award.

Okay I am not doing 7 awards, I am sorry, but I am sure no one will even notice because they fell off this wagon a long time ago back when I was ranting and raving about Tiff. So if you are a genuine reader and your reading this part then there you have it.
Congratulations Ladies!! I love you all very much, even you Jen, now IF you would like turn around and give this award to others that you would like to, if not that's cool too.
Loves!

The Cabin

This weekend we went up to our cabin in the Uinta's and it was a long needed 'get away'. It rained pretty much the whole time, but we still had fun. Then we woke up Sunday morning to open the blinds and see SNOW!! It was so fun to take Jaimen out for the first time! He doesn't remember snow from last year and he Loved it!!

So here are a few pictures of our fun little family trip for you all to enjoy, or not, thats up to you.
Alan cooked AMAZING breakfast for us!

Ridin' in the golf cart

I don't look to good here, but we just got done "cheesing" for the picture before this and he turned to me and CHEESED it big time. So Funny!!

Ridin' on the CYCLE (Jaimen's favorite thing ever)

We made smores inside, because it was raining. They were Delicious

I taught Jaimen how to eat snow, bad idea, but he liked it!
Mmmmm Yummy
Hope you enjoyed!

I am so EXCITED!!!

Poor sick Babies :(

I have a few friends who have poor sick babies right now. I feel so bad that they are going through this. I can't help but to be absolutely thankful that Jaimen is not as sick as I thought. By that I mean he had severe reflux until about 18-19 months old, he is lactose intolerant, and there for those first 18-20 months he seemed to be getting everything he could catch. Ear infections, colds, herpes in his mouth (I prefer cold sores), hand foot and mouth, and then more sores in his mouth. (Apparently there are three types of mouth virus' and Jaimen has gotten them all).
When I list these things out, it does seem like a lot but not compared to some.

This is Heston, and I love him so much. He is the cutest, biggest cheeked little boy I have met. He really is a happy boy, considering his hard life. He just makes me smile.
And this is Finley, I have never met her but I went to school with her Auntie Laura, and I have become blogging friends with her momma Katy. I have come to know her through their family blog, and I can imagine that she just lights up a room.

I love these babies. Its really not fair that children have to go through life struggling, and even worse toddlers, its just not fair. I am however absolutely grateful that they nor my son doesn't have cancer, or some other horrible sickness.

I love you Heston and Finley and I hope this road gets a lot less bumpy for you both!

Happy Birthday Alan!

Well last Friday was Alan's birthday.
We went out to his dads Saturday to celebrate with a ton of friends and family and volleyball. It was way fun and perfect weather for volleyball. Then yesterday we barbequed at my momma's.
Alan got two bowling pins for his birthday, just like me, but wouldn't you know it my camera's battery was dead so you get no pictures of my handsom man on his birthday.

Alan,
First of all Happy Birthday, and I am so so so glad you were born. What I am even more glad about is that you are you. You are the best husband I could ever ask for, and you are the best father to Jaimen. You are always there for me, to be my free therapist, when I need you. Ever since the day Jaimen was born you have stepped up to the plate and exceded my expectations of being a dad. I am so excited for this new baby and to make our family just that much bigger, and crazier. I know it will be hard, but I also know that you will be there every step of the way. I love that I don't worry about our future, I just know we will always be together and in love. I love you more and more everyday. I am so glad you picked me to be your wife and lifelong partner in this world. I know that you will always be here for me, and for our family, so thank you for that.
Happy Birthday Babe!
xoxo Lyns

Baby Flinders

Baby Flinders is due April 7th, 2009.

Here is a picture of his/her face.
The eyes are the two dark spots and you can kind of make out the mouth too.
So I am exactly 12 weeks/3months along. She (Dr.) already did my blood work and is testing for Gestational Diabetes already. They usually don't test until 23-24 weeks, but since I had it with Jaimen they want to catch it earlier. Probably so that I won't be able to eat anything that has any trace of carbs in it. Pretty crappy, I just bought vanilla ice cream and root beer for a nightly snack too. Protein and vegetables is what I get for the next six months.
We are very excited and I am so excited to show Jaimen the first picture of his little brother or sister. You better pray its a girl, this is my last chance and if its not I will have someones head.
She tried to tell what it was already, and of course its too early, but she hinted something about a stem on the apple. She better take that back next time. I want a girl so bad. I wasn't going to find out the sex of the baby, thought it would be exhilarating to wait, changed my mind like 2 days ago.
Only changed my mind because I was looking at baby girl rooms and bedding, and we already narrowed it down, and I know I want a chandelier and wainscoting and sheer curtains. A real princess room. Thinking of it is making me scared that its going to be a boy, and to think we already have everything for a boy, so a surprise wouldn't have been so inconvenient after all.
Anyways I would be happy with another boy, but every woman wants her little girl.
Fingers Crossed.

Alan's New Baby

This is Alan's new baby.

She's pretty huh?
Well at least until the other new baby gets here anyways.
Hopefully we'll call that one a 'she' too.

Okay so I am driving to work this morning, singing my little lungs out having a wonderful day so far, and someone pull's out in front of me. Going 35, in a 50!! The lady next to us slowed down to 40! from 50. Why? Because she is an idiot. Idiot. I really wish I could ride the bus. It would decrease my stress level significantly.
Dontcha hate other drivers?

I get to work and ask where a co-worker is. Because that is my job, I answer the phones and have to tell people "he's not here, but I can take a message" "yes he will be back in about an hour" whatever you get it, I also had some things to go over with him first thing this morning. No one can answer me. No one. Okay there are only two other people here, but how hard is it to say, "he's in a meeting in Salt Lake" if you didn't know that is such a hard task, to answer a question around here. Usually I get "Why?" - "Um because I asked thats why. Just tell me, and don't ask stupid questions"

UGGGGHHH!!

I can't sleep because I keep getting woken up by never ending dreams, that drag on, and on, and on about finally going to the dr and getting a due date. I want them to stop, badly. I wake up mad because the stupid dream kept dragging, and even in my dream I wanted it to stop. I want to sleep, and dream of a baby girl with bows, and flowers on her head, and Jaimen being the best 2 year old anyone has ever met. Not going to happen, I will just keep dreaming that this darn Dr. Appt will finally get here.

On a lighter note, I keep looking forward to Friday night when I get to go see Lisa Lampanelli at Kingsbury Hall. If you have never seen her comedy, you might love her or hate her. She is an insult comic, and very vulger. All out of love though. I love her.
And I don't know what to blog about so this is what ya get. I'm kinda in a rut.

Special Thanks

Do you remember where you were 7 years ago this day?
I do.
When the planes hit the Two Towers I was in Sociology class. Our teacher would not let us out to watch with the other students. I waited until I got back to my tiny apartment and watched in horror with Alan. Little did I know how devastated I would actually be. I started crying as soon as I found out it was Terrorists. So much was going through my mind. I didn't go to work that day.

We sat and watched and became afraid, for the first time, afraid for our freedom.

I read a post a while ago of a friend, well I like to read her blog, so I call her friend. Her husband left on a plane from the same airport 20 minutes before the hi-jacked planes. Same airport, same terminal, same destination. How horrifying for her. Praying that he was not on that plane, waiting for his phone call.
All the mothers, wives, husbands, sons, daughters, families, and friends that lost someone that day. All the horror they went through hoping that 'they' were okay, that 'they' missed 'their' flight, or got caught in traffic on the way to work.
So this post is to remember all the lives we lost that day. All the people who fought that day, and have been fighting ever since for our freedom.
Thank You!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAIMEN!!!

Jaimen's birthday was August 29th.
I know I am a terrible blogging mom.

This is what we got him for his birthday.

And this is him and daddy building it. He loved trying to help.

He LOVES it!! Every time we go outside now he says in an enthusiastic voice, "slide!!" and gets a super big smile across his face.
And here is a slide show of his big day.

Jaimen, you are everything I could ever ask for. I enjoy you so much, you will never know how big I smile inside when I think of you. You are such a wonderful person, in that little body. I remember your first cry, I immediately started crying tears of joy, to me that was the sound of heaven. I remember your dad bringing you to me for the first time, your so beautiful and innocent.

"…This day old…Minutes flying by, seconds racing…I can’t catch them…do I want to? …I take pride in your growth, yet cling to your youth with a sure knowledge that it will be gone all too soon…I miss you already, but with each passing moment I love you more and more…like a sponge I soak up all that you give of your youth and your innocence…"

I love every single thing you do, not so much the tantrums, but everything else. I love our babbling talks in the car, I love that you point out every single plane you hear or see in the sky, and motorcycle on the road. I will miss your toddler talk, and I hope it stays for a while longer.
You are everything to me and Daddy. Your going to make an awesome big brother.
I love that you make your own names for everyone you meet, instead of getting their name perfect, you just make one for them.
I love your giggle, and your smile, I remember the first time I heard you giggle I never knew I could smile so big, or laugh so hard.
I love you Jaimen! Happy Birthday!
