The Sweetest Big Brother

Alan and Jaimen put Baby's crib together last night. Yes her name is still Baby, she's not going to have a name since we cannot seem to agree on anything. We currently have 6 contenders, well I have 3 and he has 3, neither of us are budging.
I. AM. NOT. BUDGING.

Anyways after the crib was all put together this is what Jaimen says:

Jaimen: "Baby siser cib?"

Me: "Yes"

Jaimen: "Baby siser pillow."
(Goes and gets his pillow and throws it into the crib)

Jaimen: "Bankie."
(Goes and gets his blankie and throws it into the crib)

Then this is the best part...

He points to my belly and says:

Jaimen: "Baby siser ged in, mom climb"

Me & Alan: "LOA'sO!!!!!"

Cutest thing EVER!!!!!!!!

Oh and by the way.
I feel okay, very very excited to start the bedroom. I have belly gas like no other, like the burping kind, I have to apologize to people a lot. The second I lay down to go to sleep it creeps up and I have to sit up and back down for a half hour to clear it all up- its annoying! My back is getting used to the weight, so it still hurts like a mother, but if I stay somewhat active, its not to bad. My belly is getting bigger, she seems to be growing completely perfectly, which is good, Jaimen was small (I blame diabetes.) I am very happy that she will be here soon, I think Jaimen is as excited and as ready as he can be. He will be very surprised when we actually bring her home with us though, I think we are in for it. Other than that things are going great, the bedroom is obviously coming along, the next step on the basement is paint, and that just might happen next week?? And Jen you'd be so proud, I cleaned my floor boards yesterday, and realized I would LOVE to hire someone to clean my walls and trim.
Soon I will start nesting. Ahhh. Nesting.

Etsy

I

LOVE

Etsy!! (click me)

It's like shopping at boutiques without the parking, and the weird stares from the shop owners. When I go to boutiques I always end up spending more because I am the only person in the store and I feel like I am getting the stare down. Not to mention the stupid parking on 25th street, good luck, and the homeless- less fortunate people- looking in the parked car windows to see if its their lucky day or not. I do love the owners of these shops because they are local, and they are very very nice. I think it's part of owning a local boutique/shop, to follow the customer around and become buddy-buddy so they will buy more. Its part of their business license, I am sure of it.
I will give a shout out to my favorite local shop, well its the only local shop. Little Cherry Blossoms is so fun, way cute boutiquey outfits and I love Paul Frank/Small Paul stuff too.

I just bought some stuff I have been searching locally for for the baby on Etsy,

like this big fluffy tutu ( I have been searching for one like this, with all the fluff the ones I have found locally, cost $25 plus and are only one layer)

and this onsie

oh and this car seat cover thingy

and of course something for Jaimen, or me, whatever.

I just was excited about my new purchases of the out-of-the ordinary items and just had to share.

Valentines Jokester

Friday night I was cleaning *Gasp* and I picked up the dead poinsettia off the counter, well its not all the way dead. But this year I have surpassed my previous record of keeping one alive past Christmas Eve. You see my father-in-law can keep a poinsettia an entire year or more. I am not sure why but this makes me want to keep mine alive even if its hanging on a thread. Now I am just sick of trying so I am giving up. I am also sick of it sitting on my already crowded counter.

Anywhoo

I picked up the almost dead poinsettia to take make Alan throw out. When I picked it up I noticed a piece of cut stem on the counter, like a stem from a rose, it made me smile. See earlier that night someone mentioned Valentines Day and Alan so theatrically perfect 'acted' like he had totally forgotten. I was sure I was getting nothing, and expecting him to run to the store at any minute to buy me a last minute dollar card like all the other wonderful thoughtful husbands out there. So to see a piece of cut stem, meant he didn't forget after all, and most importantly he put thought and effort into it. I asked him with a huge smirk on my face "Honey what's this?" then I giggled and left him to his thoughts and stewing because he had left evidence and his genius 'plan' had not worked as he had 'planned'.

Valentines morning I wake up and find this

The post-it note reads as follows: (yes post-it note)
To: the woman that deserves nothing but the Best.
From: Your two guys
Inside Reads: We wanted to get you something special so we hope you enjoy it. Alan and Jaimen Happy V-day

The 'Valentines' that he stuck in the dead poinsettia were stolen from Jaimen's Valentine Box.
Also stolen was the cookie flower Jaimen made at daycare, he stole it from him to give to me.
Stealing from your own child?

He finally gave me my real flowers, and they are AMAZING!!

The most amazing part about the flowers? He picked every flower himself, then arranged them all himself. I know your thinking- yeah right- but seriously that's the kind of guy he is. I think he did an amazing job, no way could I make an arrangement look that beautiful.
While he was picking out the flowers the florists were watching, he had to ask for a different vase than what they had on the shelves. The women replied "You know we do have arrangements already made?" And he said "Yeah, but that takes the fun out of it."- Fun??

Love you honey, and thanks for the most memorable and thoughtful Valentines we've shared together.

Cheese Please?

This is yet another post about Jaimen... who could have guessed it?

I am attempting to organize all my photo's in my new nifty storage device, and edit them. Then I am going to make Jaimen a photo book on the computer, instead of printing them all out and putting them in a book myself. I think I will make me a copy too. Scrapbooks are a time of the past. A click seems soooo much easier.

I came across a few pics I couldn't pass up without laughing.

His many 'cheese' faces I will share with you.

Enjoy.

He started early with the cheese smile

What? How did this get in here? That's not a cheesy face at all.

Way to flippin' cute

Literally cheesy face

This one could get scary

To my beautiful boy,

I love you more than you will ever know. I know that life is tough for a 2 year old, especially when Dad's busy with the basement and Mom's pregnant and in a lot of pain. Just know that when you are sleeping I sneak in your room at night and cuddle with you, because that is the only time you will allow it. I don't want you to grow up, but I know you are and I love everything you do (well almost- I could do without poop in underwear's) and everything you are becoming.

Love you Jaimenator!

61 Days?!?!?!

Holy crap! I just looked at my little ticker (to your left people) and I have 61 days left of being pregnant.

I have nothing ready! NOTHING. Her bedroom is full of a desk, a stupid slow computer, and space bags to the ceiling, oh and a coffee table, and a piece of a couch, not to mention all the board games, old dresses, purses, pictures, and scrapbooking junk.

What am I going to do??

Her dresser is in the garage. You will love it, its a gorgeous dresser. I know, what's so gorgeous about a dresser? Well its not your typical dresser, its pretty, you'll see when her room is done. I promise I can't wait to post pictures. I can see it in my head now. Her bedding should be here shortly, as well as her crib. I really need to go shopping for accessories and wall art. I have alot more to do.

So 61 days is soon, but it is still SO far away.

My back is killing me. Literally killing me. I have gained 25lbs and most of that is in my belly, thus my back is breaking. I still have 2 more months I am really anxious to see if I can become a heffer by then. If I do become a heffer, the better chances are I can keep some of that weight a little longer, you know in my butt, boobies, legs, and arms. I wouldn't want a fat face though, that would look funny, like when I got my wisdom teeth out. (Honey I will kill you if you ever use those pictures to your advantage) Aren't you supposed to gain like 2lbs a week the last 2 months? Wishful thinking, wishful thinking.

(Ick my dog just farted... Sydney, you stinky!!)

I am so nervous to have another baby. I don't feel like I am the best mom to the first one, so why should I screw up another one? And a GIRL?? I'll really screw her up, I am no good at the girly stuff, I wish I were, but I can't do fun hair, or cute little nails, or even put together a cutesy outfit. And my answer to why guys are jerks is, I don't know they just are. I never had that group of girls that would stay up late at night singing New Kids on the Block, and doing each other's make-up. I wanted to, but never did, I danced by myself. :(

I can tell you though by the way I am already feeling 61 days will not come soon enough. Being pregnant through the holidays made it fly and time stopped mid January. I am hoping I can make it start flying by again, I am not sure how. Maybe I will get a burst of energy and feel like I need to start 'nesting' and clean the house from floor to ceiling. Maybe not.

Not so Pretty

I think I got tagged to do this post, but if not, oh well here it is anyways.

Tell 10 Not So Pretty things about yourself.

1. I have a horrible memory. It doesn't matter what its about, I don't remember. I don't remember my childhood, no memories, well few. It sucks when people talk about fun memories, and I can't remember them at all. It makes me feel like I have lost a part of who I am. This would be why I have taken pictures over the past few years every where I go, so that I can remember. This would also be why I started a pregnancy journal with Jaimen, have kept it going, started one for this baby, will keep it going, and then started another one, just for me. I like to read back and get my memories.

2. I am naturally not a bubbly person, I am a negative person. If a certain someone wants to help, or gives suggestions I truly believe they are somehow trying to manipulate the situation to better their life or themselves. I remember bad things over good things everyday. I constantly remind myself that if this were to happen, then so-and-so would react this way, thus ruining my day, or life. I worry to much. And this only happens with certain people. I am however happy around most people in my life, that's why they are in my life, they do make me happy. I just wish I were more bubbly, and had a funner personality.

3. I dread dropping Jaimen off and picking Jaimen up from Daycare because when I drop off in the morning he clings to me like I am leaving him for life, and feeding him to the pigs. He throws a complete tantrum in front of all the preschool children, and interrupts their class because I have to leave him screaming. When I pick him up he yells "NO!!!" and goes running the other direction, he will fight me like no other when I try to put his coat and shoes on. Sometimes I have to put him in time-out while picking him up. Going through this everyday makes my nights at home miserable, its really hard to change my mood after he just got done stepping all over me, and disrespecting me. I just have to tell myself- He is 2

4. I sit home way way way to much. Given I am 7 months pregnant right now, but even before I sat way to much for someone that has a 2 year old. I feel neglectful because I didn't take Jaimen to the zoo enough, or the park, or to friends, or dinner, or that I have never taken him to a movie, or even attempted too. My other friends, they do these things with their kids. I just don't, and I feel bad about it. Last summer we went to the pool once, all because I HATE being in a swimsuit in front of people. I go to bed wondering if I will be laying here in 10 years thinking, "I should have done more?" and then it will be to late.

5. I swear to much, and in front of my little person who likes to repeat things mommy says.
Example: 1-We are driving in the car and my little angel yells "He** sakes!! Honk Honk!! He** sakes!!" 2- Helping mommy in the garden, he drops a water pail, and says "Dammit" and "Oh Sh**" I promise that since I have noticed him repeating what I have said, I have stopped my dirty sailor mouth around him. In fact I have threatened to put others in time-out when they swear in front of Jaimen, others like other adults.

6. I wonder all the time if I was really meant to be a mom, and that I made a mistake by making this beautiful little boy live in this world with me. I don't deserve him, he is amazing, and perfect, and everything, just way more than I deserve. I love him more than anything possible, and am very scared that one day he will hate me, and never realize how much I love him. I love cuddling him at night after he is sleeping, I just wish he knew how much I want him to be happy.

7. I am lazy. Once I get up and start doing something, in the zone, I can't stop. Like cleaning, once I am in the zone, I just keep going. Problem is the zone happens like once every 3 months. I do tidy up, but I don't deep clean for months because I can't make myself do that. So next time you come to my house bring your mops, buckets, and gloves and get to work! When I get the home I want to live in, with pretty dark wood floors, and nice tile in the bathrooms, and granite counter tops I want to hire someone to come clean. Clean my floors, and cupboards, and walls. Alan won't let me, I told him, then he gets to do it :)

8. I have road rage. (Refer back to #5 for example)

9. I have really dry, white skin. Its ugly, and I hate it! I don't tan, I just burn and then peel, and then turn see through white again. The dry part is getting better because I am getting in the habit of moisturizing, but the white part will never change. Its not pretty milky white either, its blind you white. This would be the reason I hate getting in a swimsuit, this and the fact that I am too skinny.

10. I am too skinny. Have you ever heard that before?? Well right now I am not to skinny. Right now I have gained 24lbs so far in this pregnancy, and I absolutely LOVE every pound! I wish so so so so bad that I could keep every single pound I have gained except in different places, it would be weird to still have the pounds in the belly without a baby there. But in my legs, and butt, and arms, and boobies, I'll keep it! I have always been conscious of this, well since high school and I heard people asking or saying (behind my back) that I am anorexic. That hurts.

Another Girls Night!

I am so thankful to have these girls back in my life!

Thanks L for the wonderful time, and for being the host, yet again.
