I love him!

Isn't he so handsome? Even with food crusty's on the corners of his lips.

Jaimen will be 5 at the end of August, and he couldn't be more excited. I'm not sure what 5 will bring for him, or what he thinks it will bring, but he cannot wait.

Jaimen is quite a handful! So much spunk, attitude, and personality come out of this kid, I don't know where he comes up with this stuff. I believe he is a little OCD about things, he has to ask the same questions in the exact same order every single night when being tucked into bed. "Mom, can I have Frank after he goes potty?" "Mom, will you tell dad I want to give him a hug and kiss?" "Mom, my nightlight." "Mom, what are we having to eat when I wake up?"

I love this kid. He is no longer my baby that was my mini sidekick for 2 1/2 years, I can no longer pick his clothes out or do his hair how I like it. I can no longer choose what we eat or do without his opinion or objection. I can no longer wrap him in my arms and let him sleep on my chest like a little frog. 

I miss those days.

Look at Me!! I am 2!!!

Presley my dear,
I cannot begin to express how thankful I am that you chose us to be your family. We are so blessed and lucky to have you in our lives. You are the light in our home that we look for every day to make us smile, you are 100% you and I love every bit of you. I don't know where your personality came from, your so imaginative already, feeding your baby and playing pretend. Your the entertainer of this family, and I wish I could say you got that from me, but I can't take credit. At this point in your life, you don't make much sense to anyone but us when you are "talking." Your vocabulary consists mainly of, mom, dad, namin (Jaimen),wawa, and alot of grunting, pointing, and head nods. You do say other words, but they make little sense unless we know what your talking about, then we can make out what your saying. You love to read books, love to carry your baby with you everywhere along with her bottle, blanket, cup, and spoon, love to rock in your chair with Momma, love to stand on the stool when I'm getting ready and get into my makeup. You love to make Jaimen mad, but you also love to play with him and love on him, which at times can make him mad too. I cannot begin to list all the things you love to do, or hate to do, I would need a huge book to fill that all in. You have us all wrapped around your finger, and the bad thing is, that you know it all to well. You could get away with murder in a heartbeat. My favorite time of day is when I get to come and pick you and Jaimen up from Miss Shelly's house. My heart melts when I walk through the door and you are overcome with so much joy and excitement that you cannot contain it. You scream Momma over and over, run to me and cling to my leg until I pick you up and then you squeeze around my neck so tight and I just love it so much, it is worth having a full time job to be able to get a loving welcome at the end of a long day. I look forward to that moment from the second I wake up in the morning.
I cannot describe how much you mean to me and how much I love you. I am so sad, yet proud that you are turning 2!! I never want you to grow up but I know that as you grow you will have so much more to teach us and to show us about who you are, and I am looking forward to that. Presley, we love you so much, thank you for making us smile and for making us see that little girls are just as sweet as we were told they were, maybe even sweeter. I think your sweeter :)

I {Heart} Sun Suits

Almost 2 years ago when Presley was just 3 months young I found a sun suit at a local children's boutique, it was the first time I had seen one in person, (they are rare these days). I had to have it, I paid $50 for it and it was a size 3-6 month.... haha more like it would fit her now as she is reaching the age of 2. Anyways I ended up having buyers remorse and taking it back, I was also afraid she would grow into it during the winter months, and that would be devastating. Ever since the day I laid my eyes on that beautiful retro sun suit, I was in love. I searched online for what seems like a year with no luck. Then I decided to become a self taught seamstress, and a sun suit was on the top of my list of clothing items to make. It took me forever to find a pattern, but I finally did, the downside, it's a funky pattern and the instructions are not clear at all, also the pattern is made for only 3 sizes, so now I need to figure out how to make more sizes, remember I am just a beginner.

After trying it on my gorgeous model this morning I have found a few kinks that need to be worked on. I will be working on altering this one tonight as well as altering the pattern for future reference.

I have fabric purchased and on my shelves for more of these lovelies to be offered in my Etsy Shop within the next few months. Gotta make the pattern perfect first!

Hey there! Peeps!

I found another fun giveaway I want to let you all know about, who's you all? Like people read this stuff, pffff, please. Before I found the giveaway I was going through past posts and it looks like I have fallen off the blogging wagon. Seriously I don't have the time to blog right now. Finding the time to write a post, finding pictures & editing them, even thinking about what would be blog worthy is a tough task right now.  We have been soooo busy... let me tell you a little about it....

As some of you may know DH lost his job (BOO and YEAH!) this past November, so the holiday's were stressful to say the least, fun, but stressful.  I do in fact have a lot of cute pictures and stories to tell about the kids and the 2 of us, but like I will ever get to that. Anywhoo... Alan is currently doing construction type work on fixing up houses for a friend. It is turning out to be a good move and a good thing that he no longer works at Autoliv (Crap-ville).  He loves having the freedom and learning how to do home improvements, he learns fast and is a bit of a perfectionist, he really amazes me. He really is the most amazing husband I could have ever dreamed of. Did you know he got me flowers on Superbowl Sunday? And then a gigantic bouquet was delivered the day before LOVE day! AMAZING! Not that I need flowers to stay happy, it's just the thought of him thinking of me to do those sweet things.  Hey Hey Hey- I don't have time for this super duper super sweet personal stuff- On to my schpill about no time....

Life for us seems like it has hit fast forward and I can't pause it or slow it down, I know it seems like there aren't enough hours in a day for any mom :) I go to bed thinking, where did the time go? Wake up thinking, where did the time go? I also wake up thinking about FABRIC, and go to bed thinking about FABRIC. I am seriously getting in a rut of 'wishing' I could sew first thing in the morning while the sunlight is shining through the window down at my beautiful FABRIC. Wait a second! I don't have time for this... back to my post about the giveaway I found...

Just a second...while we are on the subject of FABRIC, I re-vamped Presley's dress into a skirt last night, and it's adorable! What is even more adorable is her, yeah Presley, I wish I had pictures I could upload because seriously the boys better watch out because she is amazing! But man she is getting Sassy, wooah, I guess the boys better watch out for that too :) She loves to do anything and everything we don't want her to do. I know, not to surprising, since all toddlers love pissing parents off. (sorry for the foul language, it's how I feel it is best described) She gets mad at me if I get the wrong bib out of the drawer (yes she still wears bibs, sorry if I don't appreciate food particles on her shirt. haha.). Jaimen is quite patient with her though,sometimes he understands and asks her if she wants to get her baby, or go play, or watch a movie. He is starting to really grow up, and I am loving it and hating it all at the same time. For two Saturday's in a row now he has come to me and asked me, "Mom, do you need to get some sewing done?"  
"Well, yes I do."   
"Here's an idea, I've got it, this is a good idea mom, you should call Grandma Patti so we can go to her house and you can get some sewing done because Presley won't let you sew." 
haha I still laugh when I think about it! Where do they come up with this stuff? So grown up! He is thinking of how to make us both happy at the same time. He is completely 100% obsessed, and I mean OBSESSED, with motorcycles and the supercross riders this year. He plays racing games, which involves running around the house while I, or Grandma become the announcer, and he plays the roll of the rider over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (are you sick of it yet? BecauseI am!), and over again. From sun up to sun down he talks about racing and racers, while playing with the motorcycles and riders, and I love it!  I need to think about something else before I cry because he is growing up to fast, I just remembered he is going to kindergarten this year!!! Holy Crap!!! {Stop Thinking! Stop Thinking! 123 Shush 123 Shush Clear Mind Clear Mind}

Ok now I have told you A LOT about not having time, and now I have waisted my time.
