BEACHED WHALE

I feel like a beached whale.
I emphasize feel because I could never possibly look like one.
My first pregnancy was nothing like this.
I first felt little butterflies in my tummy, and that is what made me think "pregnant". Okay this time, no. I first felt the force of food coming back up my throat at all hours of the day and night. I liked the butterflies better, much nicer.
Yesterday I felt like all stomach muscles were cramping up so tightly I could barely breathe as if I were 9 months pregnant. Today I feel like a beached whale, if I ever knew how one felt, I imagine it would feel like this. And for some reason, lets call it, 'bloating' my stomach is popping out to look like I am a couple months along. Seriously?
Garet, my brother, asked what was wrong with it. My stomach that is.

Glowing

I

I am glowing.

From Head to Toe.

Smiling.

From Ear to Ear.

Oh and I am a little nauseous.

Just a little.

My waistline all of a sudden feels tight.

You herd me.
Now scream in delight with happiness, and be scared and terrified for me at the same time.

: i am me :

i am: a wife and then a mommy
i think: when I am in the shower, or trying to fall asleep. Did I leave $20 in my jeans? Remember to check. Oh I left the clothes in the washer, I hope my $20 wasn't in there. I need to buy laundry detergent. Oh and milk. What are we having for dinner tomorrow? What about breakfast? I wonder if Jaimen will throw a tantrum first thing in the morning, or maybe he'll wait. I need a hair cut.
i know: my husband works his butt off
i want: everything
i have: a house, a car, a job, a family, a lot
i dislike: tantrum’s
i miss: constant everyday ME time
i fear: my son will take the wrong path one day in life
i feel: that Jaimen will always do the right thing in the end
i hear: toddler babbles
i smell: something giving me a sinus headache
i crave: really good pasta
i usually: drive way to fast
i search: for what my true calling is
i wonder: if Jaimen ever listens, I know he’s 2
i regret: something I said to Alan. It was mean.
i love: the smell of rain
i care: about everyone, way to much
i always: am late to work
i worry: about everything
i am not: driven
i remember: the first day I met Alan, that hug gave me butterflies
i dance: like a white girl
i sing: everyday in the car, people stare. Jaimen tells me to shh…
i don’t always: wake up with a positive attitude
i argue: when I know I am right
i write: horribly
i win: in the husband department
i lose: at everything, I have NEVER won a thing. NEVER.
i wish: I could write more intelligently
i listen: when I choose too
i don't understand: History. “Who is Gandhi?” (Once asked by me to my husband)
i can usually be found: at home or work
i am scared: to face reality
i need: to be re-assured about myself, but rarely am
i forget: constantly
i am happy: YES I AM. i am happy.

HELP!!!!!!!!!

Jaimen has not taken a nap
ALL WEEK LONG!!!

I am literally ripping my hair out. Each day has gone by, with the optimism that something will work and he will nap.

So here is a breakdown of the week-
Monday he screamed bloody murder after 15 minutes of being put down. So dear babysitter and her kids felt so bad for him, they got him up. He fell asleep on dear babysitter’s daughter an hour later for almost a ½ hr. This night he went to bed at 8:00
Tuesday he talked his way out of it, by calling the babysitters name in different tones of voices (high pitched, low pitched, like a monster, like a baby), so her son felt bad and got him up. This night he went to bed at 7:40.
Wednesday dear babysitter tried having everyone, big and little, lie down and let Jaimen put everyone to sleep for their nap. All in hopes that he had figured out that not everyone naps when he does, thus doing this would let him think everyone is napping, so he will too. Nope- she heard him just talking an hour after putting him down, he hadn’t slept one wink.
Thursday I tried taking his pillow from home, telling him I’d bring candy when I picked him up “if” he took a nap for Shelly, and she tried laying him down later, in hopes that he was just trying to change the time, put soft music on (like at home), and read him a story. Nope didn’t work again. This night I kept him up as late as I possibly could.

So please pray for me that he will nap today, for at least an hour. This is all I think about; eager that he will nap,
PLEASE let him nap!

I also have a dilemma that I am dealing with during this “strike on the nap”.

Wednesday I took off early to take him to the zoo (see pictures below) I knew he would have fun, but he was being a monster before we got there. I contemplated not taking him because of his fits, but then realized he’s not old enough to know the consequences of his actions to that degree. He fell asleep 2 minutes after we got in the car to go home at 6:00, and woke up right when we pulled in the driveway, acting like that was his nap.

Last night we took him to the Fair to see the Animals, again throwing absolute fits before we left. I am glad we didn’t stay home due to his fits, they wouldn’t have stopped at home like they did at the Fair. He had a blast touching the animals and seeing the 4 wheelers, not to mention all the crazies that come out when the Fair comes to town.
So please HELP ME!!! Any advise on what to do, I know that kids don’t usually stop taking naps until between 3-4. I know he needs a nap, he’s one evil child in the evenings, so what should I try that I haven’t already?
I don't think he would "get it" if I tried withholding a fun activity, due to his never ending tantrums.
Welcome to the TERRIBLE TWO'S!!

Oh- and here are a few pictures of our trip to the zoo with Kristen and Bailee.
Thanks Kristen!!
Here's that really cute big elephant that kids LOVE

Not Jaimen. Way to go against the crowd honey. You couldn't be more like your dad.

Bailey, your almost as big at the gorilla

Please Jaimen, Please, look, do it like mommy!

Cute BABY Giraffe.

The last 20 minutes it started to rain, then it started to pour.

When have you ever seen the Zoo like this?? Look closely, closer, no not the rain, there are NO PEOPLE!! (it was like this the entire time, if every time was like this I would love going)
It was so fun to walk with Jaimen in the rain, until he saw the carousel and realized we weren't taking another ride. (Unlike LAGOON) If you haven't seen our Lagoon trip, please click on the link.... its hilarious!!

Oh and this is Frank in a DIAPER.... hence my week has been HELL!
Just thought I'd throw that in.
Here is my other patio set I got for my birthday.

I was going to post this picture the day after my Birthday Post, but I've been crazy busy.

I also forgot to post a picture of what I got for Mothers Day.

I guess they have figured out that I am a little "young" for my age"

Again with the humor, except now it is leaking from my mom to my husband.

Doorbell Ditchers

I never did this when I was younger, nor did my friends, or really anyone I knew. It never appealed to me to ring someones doorbell, and hide watching them answer, and have no one there. I don't see the fun in that.
Especially don't see the fun in doing it at 12:00am or even 2:30.

We have had some kids (2) ring our doorbell the last two nights in a row. The first night at 12 and by the time I got outside they were down the street, teenagers, is my guess, wearing jeans and black t-shirts. The second night, last night, they showed up at 2:30 am!!!

So earlier today I decided to ask my neighbors if they had any "interuptions" Apparanty our car, that our neighbor is borrowing had an egg in it. Two other neighbors had been egged.

So I guess at least we weren't egged, but we were woken up and couldn't go back to sleep for an hour.

Tonight I am boobie trapping them. I am putting fishing wire at the bottom of the steps, so when they step up, they trip and hit the stairs. hehe.

I know I am evil.

Bathing

I know I know 2 posts in 1 day! Holy cow right? Well if you have been reading my blog, you will notice that I have already done 3 posts this week, and this makes it 4!! What?? I am working on getting to my 100th post so that I can write all about
ME!!
I can't wait.
Only 65 more to go.
But this post may make some of you a little upset with me about my mothering "duties"

Lately we've been busy doing some of this...

See its sand. before that was dirt. before that was weedy grass.
And this....
See its flagstone with topsoil/sand mix.
(Oh also see that my husband is the one doing all the work. Thanks hunny. I am a horrible wife to get this "Brilliant" idea about flagstone, and then not really contribute much) -hey I tried to help, he would rather me not help

so I worked in this....

and I mowed the lawn, did dishes, cleaned the basement, did laundry, tidied up the house (kind of), vacuumed, made a new disc of pictures for dear mother in-law, and worked.

I also put this together....
Its one of my new patio sets I got for my birthday, from everyone.
Thanks hunny for organizing that!
(I will post a picture of my 'other' patio set I got later, that pictures on Alan's camera)

What is wrong you ask?

Well I forgot to bathe him...

oopsie
I know. I know. Horrible.

Alan put his pj's on him last night and came into me and asked "when was the last time you gave him a bath?" "Because smell his feet, look at his legs, that's disgusting."

What? It was just a little dirt, and stinky toesies.

"Um...."
thinking...
"Sunday?"
And that was Alan's response, Sunday, I couldn't even remember. I am a bad mommy.

I don't know why, but ever since Jaimen was born that is the one thing that I have to constantly remind myself that I need to give him a bath.
Brush his teeth twice daily, comb his hair, wash his face, feed him breakfast, drop him off at daycare, pick him up from daycare, make dinner, get him ready for bed.
But bathing I don't know why it is so hard for me to get it into our routine, but it is.
There it is I forgot to bathe my son for 5 days.
Don't worry he got a bath this morning.
Next bath.
on Wednesday.
Just Kidding.
I hope.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

So Tuesday was my 27th Birthday, and I really don't want to be 27. Yes Yes I am still in my 20's but in 3 years I am going to be 30!!!

And when I think of 30; I think of driving kids to soccer, football, baseball, dance, birthday parties, having sleepovers for kids and all that, and I am just not ready for all that.
Do I have to put a soccer sticker on my car when I hit 30??

So here are some pictures of us celebrating at my madre's casa.

me and my GIANT little brother, or I should say younger.
