Happy Valentines Day!!!!

So I am sure I have the best husband in the entire world!!!
I got my flowers two days ago, because Alan is so funny, he accidentally left them outside overnight. He put them out there so they would stay bloomed and not wilt, but forgot about them, so they kinda froze. Its really not as bad as you would think, I will post a picture. They are really beautiful!! He knows I am not the traditional red rose kind, so he got orange lilies, with really big white flowers, he picked out the vase himself and put the arrangement together himself too. He's so thoughful, especially when he knew he didn't have to do anything for me, but its the best to be surprised!!! :)

He made me heart shaped pancakes last night, because he was trying to get this morning off so he could make me breakfast (as a surprise) but couldn't get off. It was a huge conincidence that I was trying to decide what to eat for dinner, and I suggested pancakes, so he offered to make them. He's so cute!! He also made Jaimen his first ever smiley face pancake with egg eyes and bacon smile.

Then this morning I woke up, he leaves at 5:30am so he left a note on the bathroom mirror. Really big he wrote "Be Mine, Valentine, Happy Valentines Day, Love, Me" He wrote it in white and had little sticky hearts all around it. I love, love, love when he does stuff like that, it makes my day immediately, I just keep on smiling when I think of it. He also left a card and two Valentines Day 'lotto cards' The card was so sweet and surprisingly mushy, he wrote a amazing note in it too, but it was just for me so I'm not sharing what it said.

After all of this I really wish I could just take him on a short little trip by ourselves, to wherever he wants to go. He deserves it!

I have never really been a valentines person, its no big deal to me if we go out to dinner or stay home. But all these fun little surprises are awesome!!! I guess I am more into it this year because he is making it all so wonderful!

Jaimen's doing.....

He is almost 18 months old, and he can read. Most words he won't actually say, but he does know a word, or sound for that word. Some of his favorites are, elephant, zebra, hi, clap, rabbit, iguana. I know no one believes me, but we have flash cards at home that by the way are his favorite "toys" When I figure this blog thing out, I will submit a video clip. The words he actually says are dog, kitty, hi, duck, dad, shoe, boy, d (drink, or snack), and bob (means mom). The ones he knows the sounds for are elephant, zebra and horse are the same, tiger and leopard and lion are the same, dog, cat, cow, iguana. He signs with his hands for fish, and 'all done, or all gone', he will move his head back and forth, like hopping for a rabbit, or frog.
He likes to be quized at what he can read so much, the flash cards I do have can be ruined by a 1 1/2 year old so sometimes I have to hide them. I made some recently and I just need to get my butt in gear and get them laminated, so that he can do what he wants with them. I haven't been able to get him to focus long enough on a book page to tell me what it says, but he loves to be read books.

Jaimen loves to sing 'Old Mac Donald', he sings the E-I-E-I-O part as soon as I start singing any other part. Its so cute, I didn't know that he was actually singing until a couple weeks ago the song was playing and he started and I put it together. Funny how they can be doing something for a while before we figure out what it actually means. I am now singing the ABC's when I change him because he plays with an alphabet toy while he's getting changed, he's catching on pretty fast.

Another thing Jaimen is doing is brushing his teeth, and if he wants to and he can't carry it around the house, or you stop him because you can only stay in the bathroom and let him brush his teeth for so long, he throws an absolute tantrum. He also knows when we are getting ready to leave the house and will bring you his shoes, and coat without having to ask him. One of those things he just started doing one morning, that made me laugh and laugh, and so proud.
