Wii, Broken Nose, & Slides

Our weekend was nice, a long weekend was definitely needed, and you would agree if you read my last post.
Neither I nor Alan felt good, but that didn't stop us from having fun, crappy weather and all.

Friday night my momma came over and played with Jaimen and Me while Alan & bro Garet put in a new stereo in Garet's truck.

Saturday was chilly, but we went out to Bob & Tiffs for good grub, cute Heston, some drinks, and Wii.

Sunday we decided it would be fun to go to Lagoon.

Jaimen hates rides, I under-exaggerated hate lets try that again.

Jaimen HATES rides

Oh this looks like fun
Wait what the…
Dad get me off of this NOW!!

That was Jaimen’s first ride ever, so I thought for sure he will do better on the octopus ride because he gets to sit next to me and everything is better with mom.

Well this is what my nose looks like, so can you guess what happened?
Its worse than it looks, I promise.
On Jaimen’s 2nd ride of the day, and my first, I was bending down because Jaimen started freaking out; I was trying to console him. That’s what I get, the ride went down, Jaimen’s head when up, mine went down and I got a bloody freaking nose! I wiped my nose repeatedly with my sleeve, for fear of 1. blood dripping all down my face and all over the front of my shirt and 2. people freaking out when I got off the ride with blood everywhere.
Well people didn’t freak out, I did a pretty good job of wiping the blood all while the ride was still going and trying to calm Jaimen down, and he was hysterical. What for? I didn’t see blood coming from his nose???

I’m just joking Jaimen, mommy loves you especially when food will always cheer you up!

Well the day started out bumpy for us but we had a lot of fun regardless of trying repeatedly to put him on rides. He didn’t even like the merry-go-round.
Who doesn’t like the merry-go-round?
Jaimen doesn’t.
We had to ask some lady if we could sit in some little chariot with her because they wouldn’t start the ride without him sitting or strapped on some animal for fear that he would go flying across the park.

Bobby won Heston some stuffed toys, and he also won some for Jaimen.
Thanks Bob!!

We went and played some skee ball, and then Jaimen found this….

Jaimen's Favorite part of the entire day.
We didn’t even put a quarter in, and he had a ball!
Mom & Dad's favorite part of the entire day.

On Monday, Memorial Day, first of all I would like to publicly thank all of you out there who have served our country to give us a safe place to live!
Thanks! If it weren’t for you we wouldn’t be here to thank you!

Well after it stopped raining we went to a birthday party for Jaimen’s friend Brailey.
Jaimen had fun on the playground, even though me and Alan were freezing.

Don't You Hate it When....

I have so many frustrations, and need to get them out. Although sometimes once I get them out it doesn't help, like its supposed to help. I need some new methods.
Does anyone not feel relieved once they have gotten something off their chest, am I alone???

Don'tcha Hate it When.....
  • someone goes in the work bathroom right before you and make it stink? Ugh.. dirty men...

  • you have so much to get done you can't even think straight?
  • so you just post on your blog instead.. work can wait right??
  • The girl at Blimpie tells you what you want, instead of listening to you, the customer?

  • 3 days ago we hit record hi 93 degrees, and yesterday, record low 52 degrees. Gotta be UTAH

  • You can smell the bathroom "spray" at your desk now?

  • Someone starts talking about someone else's relationship and the problems they have, and your like DUH! Do you need a mirror? Same problems dude!
  • You cant say DUH, to that person in case you might offend him or the accomplice in his said relationship. Come on, be a big boy, open your eyes!
  • People drive like its a nice sunny Sunday, its Friday people, outta my way! The faster I get to work, the faster the weekend comes. I am not about to pretend and drive like its already Sunday!

  • When your dog does scare the annoying neighbor kids, after said dog stops barking, the kids continue into the driveway, Why? I do not know this
  • your favorite show was off air, because of a forever long strike, then they come back on just to tease you for 3 episodes until next season
  • You're parent(s) (take that how you will (s)) decide to tell you how to parent? Hello!!, you got to raise me, now let me raise my own, PLEASE....
  • Stupid Presidential election stuff interupted The Biggest Loser 2 weeks in a row... Okay I know that was like forever ago, but I am still pissed at that stupid reporter for that.
  • Now I feel better about that one, geez I needed to let that one go.

*NOTE TO SELF......

GET A GRIP!,

CHILL OUT,

MAYBE GET LAID??

Did I just say that??

Oh come on people like you weren't thinking thats what I needed.

Happy Anniversary To ME!!

3 Years ago today was my wedding day… So here is a small recap of how the event came to be, and what happened on that glorious day.

Alan asked me to marry him in October of 2004, and it was a complete surprise, I honestly expected to be asked as we were standing in the jewelry store picking out rings, and getting financed.
On with the story… We were in
PARIS…
we we
Idaho, I hate that part, not the Paris part, but the Idaho part, well I shouldn’t say hate, such a strong word, but its funny. I always start my story out in Paris, and people get all big eyed and wooo and stuff, just to hear me laugh and say Idaho. We decided to hike up to the springs with our little dog, Sydney who kept acting funny but we kept going till we got to the top where the water comes out of the ground. Absolutely gorgeous!!!
So Sydney is acting super weird, I thought she was thirsty, but she wasn’t then I thought she wanted to swim, so I walked down a couple big rocks in the river/springs to put her in a shallow spot with no current. When I turned around (standing in the river on rocks) Alan was on one knee and holding the ring, and asked
“Will You Marry Me, Lynsie?”
I couldn’t believe my eyes, I thought I was hallucinating, seriously, it was so strange how I felt like I was just floating on a cloud. So I asked him probably 10 times if he was serious, and after I realized that this was real I started crying and said YES.
Then the wedding planning began, and I did it all myself, all of it. It turned out to be awesome! It was a relaxed wedding, and everyone had a blast. I remember everything, but the one thing that will always stand out was the feeling I got when I walked out of the bedroom to stand next to my father and walk down the isle. I started breathing very heavily, and got red hot, and a little dizzy. I realized this is it, no turning back, and look at all those people waiting for me, little me. How does anyone know if they are making the right decision?
You dream of this day for so long, and just want everything to be perfect.
I was so scared, all these thoughts started popping into my head and I couldn’t calm down until I was standing in front of Alan, and I knew that this was right, and I was marrying the man that I will spend the rest of my life with. And then I just stared at him the entire time the bishop was talking, just stared like I was in lala land. I almost missed my I Do.
Anyways, I know it has only been 3 years, but I love my marriage, and I love my husband.
I am in this forever, I love that you asked me to marry you, and I want to spend my life with you. I love you babe!

Of course I DO

Cake anyone??

So here is a small list of reasons why I love, love, love my husband...

he would do anything for me, anything
he puts up with me
he is an amazing father
he is supportive
he's dead sexy baby, yeah
he is respectful
he is very handy to have around the house, and yard
he loves me
he's happy doing nothing at all as long as he's with me and Jaimen
he will bring me flowers, just because
he loves this marriage as much as I do
Love you!!

Bragging Rights

Okay this is going to be the first of many brag posts about my husband, so here I go....
Alan got promoted for the 3rd time since being at his job of 5 years now!!

Honestly is that heard of in a BIG company??

First he was a normal worker bee on swing shift, then he got a PC Job, where he was over a crew of employees by the way that was graveyard shift. Then he got promoted to building these kits, and working with customers through e-mail, its bigger than I make it sound, I just don't know how to describe it, and it was on day shift! Yesterday he got an 'Analist' job. (I think thats what it is called) Analist something.

Sorry babe, I really lost brain cells when I had your child...

I don't really want to get into it to far, but pretty much he is a 'big wig' now. He has to deal with customers on a daily basis from China! And some other countries too. But its his responsibility to know what these customers need, when they need it, and get it to them and make sure they are happy with new products. (BTW its not like a gas station, put a new brand of beer on the shelf and see if people like it, take a survey here and there. Its a BIG DEAL.)

So hunny,

Great Job

I am so proud of you.

Reading... Again....

Here is a new video of Jaimen Reading.
We haven't practiced for a while, the good weather forces us to be physical and go outside.
Darn sun.

He will be 2 at the end of August so he is almost 21 months old. I have been slacking on letting him watch his videos. I used to put one on every morning while he ate breakfast, but lately I have been eating with him, or being selfish and turning on the morning news so I can listen while getting ready

Dont forget to push pause on my playlist.

The video's are called "Your Baby Can Read"
(click on the title to be forwarded to their website)

I got mine through a book show, Usborne Books, I had a party then received credit, and I used it for the videos, and also a few books. So if your interested in having a book party I would do it that way, because 1. the videos turn out to be free and 2. you get a few free books, or discounted books. (I am not selling Usborne Books, I just think its a good idea) I don't know anyone who does the shows either, so I would suggest doing and internet search, and seeing if you can find anyone in the area.
Anyways I think the videos are awesome, and so does Jaimen, he loves watching them, so its a plus I don't have to push it. I started when he was 6-7 months. The video guide says you can start earlier or later. Check them out, I would recomend them to anyone, even if you want to start while they are in pre-school.

I am going to put this video on the bottom of my blog also so that if anyone wants to see it in a month or so, you don't have to search through posts.

And Tiff....
I promise I am getting yours!! I started them this week, and want to bring them out to you when we get a second. I'll call you when they are done. Hopefully one night this week, cool??

My Little CEO is feeling better!!

Jaimen is feeling alot better, and is back at daycare.

WOHOOO!!!!

His sores in his mouth are completely gone, but he still screams bloody murder when I try to brush his teeth. Why don't they understand that if we don't brush, you will have root canals, and even if you do brush you might have root canals, like mommy?? So just brush really really good in case you've inherited mommy's bad teeth.
I really don't know how all you stay-at-home mom's do it. I would absolutely love to have 1 or 2 days off a week to stay home with him, but not 5 days, I just can't do it. Maybe its because every time I get to stay home with him, its when he is sick, maybe I could handle it better if he wasn't sick every time, and I had the time scheduled off so I wouldn't worry about missing work.

He also got a haircut, it was getting pretty shaggy. I was trying to grow it out, you know the California surfer/skater look, cute long wavy hair. I saw a 3 year old with the cutest wavy hair, it must have been hell getting it to that stage, but it was so cute.

Well I didn't realize till after I cut it that he really did look like I wasn't doing his hair. He looks so freaking hansom now.
